My name is Andrew and I currently live in South West Victoria just over 20km from Portland. Portland has a population of around 10,000, although that depends on who you ask! Porland is 380km from Melbourne which is the capital of Victoria.

Portland was the first settled place in Victoria and is located on a fairly sheltered part of the the South West Victorian coastline. However, it is still a fairly rugged place because of its exposure to the Southern Ocean.

I moved from Melbourne at the begining of 2004 to commence teaching Media and Information Technology at a small independent school with about 260 students.

Prior to that I worked for a couple of years at a large Stock Broking firm where I undertook I.T. roles, a fill in job that came out of waiting to return to Museum Victoria where I worked before spending three years travelling in the United States and Canada, working in museums in the United Kingdom, andl making a documentary film in India.

I have two degrees in Photography and History, and post graduate qualifications that include a Masters Degree in Museum Studies and teaching qualifications.

Over the past year or so I have again become interested in photography (my original post school quilification in the early 1980s) after becoming burnt out with weddings! I have also rekindled my interest in design both in print and online.

I have a strong interest in music - mostly pop and rock.
